Ashes are all that remains
We had just met and for some reason I wasn't nervous, it was like our souls were connected in a past life some how.
I remember the sun was setting on the horizon filling your eyes with the reflection of colors bursting through sky.
Now things are not the same I can no longer see the colors reflecting in your eyes.
It is almost as if everything is black and white.
We used to have a spark that ignited a fire with every kiss.
Now all that remains are ashes and tiny embers where the fire used to be.
