That night will not be forgotten
Sitting on the porch with water guns
Shooting everyone who happened to pass by
Then down to the beach we traveled
In the darkness of night
All that was heard
Was the sound of your voice
And the waves that crashed upon the shore
The soft sand sand was cold
Under my feet in the dark night
I remember hiding in the life guard stand
Sitting under you, hunched over
With you breathing down upon my neck
I felt so safe,
As if nothing in this world
Would ever hurt me
As long as you were beside me
It seemed all too soon
The night was over
And you were gone,
Gone without a trace
Will I ever see you again,
Will I ever feel that way again?
Sitting on the porch with water guns
Shooting everyone who happened to pass by
Then down to the beach we traveled
In the darkness of night
All that was heard
Was the sound of your voice
And the waves that crashed upon the shore
The soft sand sand was cold
Under my feet in the dark night
I remember hiding in the life guard stand
Sitting under you, hunched over
With you breathing down upon my neck
I felt so safe,
As if nothing in this world
Would ever hurt me
As long as you were beside me
It seemed all too soon
The night was over
And you were gone,
Gone without a trace
Will I ever see you again,
Will I ever feel that way again?
