Ink Heartbeat
when the coffin carries me
in a floral shower
bathed in your tears
remove that hand from wood
place it in my journals
feel my words in every margin
there, you’ll find me
breathing with each splattered dot
and smiling as you read
if you find your fingertips
smearing the sides of poetry
know you carry my ink heartbeat
a stain for you to keep
on grieving skin
in a floral shower
bathed in your tears
remove that hand from wood
place it in my journals
feel my words in every margin
there, you’ll find me
breathing with each splattered dot
and smiling as you read
if you find your fingertips
smearing the sides of poetry
know you carry my ink heartbeat
a stain for you to keep
on grieving skin
