Ever meant something
Remember me,
Though I know you wish to forget,
I ensured you lost sight of us,
And wish we'd never met.
But now I wish to tell you,
The things I seldom said,
Thoughts that passed threw,
That I never shared.
I had seen our future,
Only the finer details not,
But I never envisaged,
The love you've now forgot,
I saw the way I looked at you,
In twenty years time,
As if a day hadn't passed,
Your heart still mine,
I still made you smile,
Just like I always did,
My present and future demenor,
Showed me I always would.
And though now I have to look back,
As if it all meant nothing,
I will always wonder,
If all of the above,
Ever meant something...
Though I know you wish to forget,
I ensured you lost sight of us,
And wish we'd never met.
But now I wish to tell you,
The things I seldom said,
Thoughts that passed threw,
That I never shared.
I had seen our future,
Only the finer details not,
But I never envisaged,
The love you've now forgot,
I saw the way I looked at you,
In twenty years time,
As if a day hadn't passed,
Your heart still mine,
I still made you smile,
Just like I always did,
My present and future demenor,
Showed me I always would.
And though now I have to look back,
As if it all meant nothing,
I will always wonder,
If all of the above,
Ever meant something...
