I disagree,
A phrase I learned recently.
Not saying you're wrong.
I don't want to speak defensively.
We just see things differently.
Let's discuss this civilly.
Tell me your reasons.
I'll tell you mine.
You may or may not change my mind.
I may or may not change yours.
That's okay.
I simply disagree.

Thank you :) I feel like saying " I disagree" instead of "you're wrong" promotes communication instead of dismissal. New concept for me.

With most people I just stop giving my opinions anymore. I think for most they don't want to know my thoughts, they want to hear they're right. Also I think right now we need less opinions and more common ground.

I agree and it is difficult to have a civil conversation with someone who just wants to be right. It turns into a monologue rather than a conversation.
