Broken

Are we really safe in a place where people can't breathe, can't sleep, can't go walking down the street, without police brutality? Possibly not returning safely to their families? Just because the color of your skin. Living in a broken world where you can never win.

A broken system created on the foundation of chasing slaves. Racism imbedded and stained throughout our history. Why hasn't this mentality changed?

Don't forget their names. Don't let them die in vain. Those who cry those who mourn, those who died. Not really understanding why daddy isn't there and won't be coming home.

Broken families. Too many mothers and fathers not there to watch their kids graduate. Give them flowers. But instead they're putting flowers on their graves.

Where's the equality? Where's the accountability? Stop this hostility. Stop this brutality. This is an emergency!

Systematic racism where Jim Crow ideals are legal. No vote, no housing, no job, no food. It's a governmental FUCK YOU. Convicted felony. A harsher penalty just because the color of your skin.Stuck in a broken system where you  can never win.

Silence is a secret killer. If we don't talk about, keep it quiet how will it ever change? The problem keeps getting bigger and bigger. Lives are stolen too soon. Hunted down and beaten, murdered and blamed. Then systematicly swept under the rug. How is it just a clerical error when black bodies are dropping faster than the bullet casings of the gun? How is this still happening? And why do we let this broken system continue?

Where's the equality? Where's the accountability? Stop this hostility. Stop this brutality. This is an emergency!

Colorblindness is just a form of silence to justify and systematicly discriminate, perpetuating this racial hate.

All lives matter will never be true until Black Lives Matter too. All my fellow white people this ain't about us. This change is a must. You can be an ally too and help make this beautiful dream come true.

With education, conversations, open lines of communication. It's up to ALL of us make a stand and make a change.

This may only scratch the surface, but if it helps this broken system change, I hope it's worth it.
