Apple
Red and yellow,
Sometimes green,
Juicy with a bite.
Can best be served for all occasions,
And always sure to catch an eye.
Baked with bread or sparsely spread
In a salad as a toss.
Eat it raw or better yet
Stir it softer for a sauce.
Drizzle it in caramel
With a dash of cinnamon right on top,
You can even sieve a juice of it,
Or cider if you want.
Just enjoy the versatility
Of apples, sans a flaw.
A fruit I say be most deserving
Of a rounding of applause.
