Ugly Little Creatures
O, Many Arms,
Embrace me,
May we marry odds and evens.
Mother said
We must make amends
If we’re to ever come to reason.
So gently,
May you smother me
And we can share each other’s breathing,
And listen how
Collectively,
Our many hearts are beating.
Learning life,
With love and laughter,
Was mother’s greatest lesson,
But Many Arms,
How we’re still at odds,
Even though we share direction.
I hope one day,
Eventually,
We may grow to something greater,
From the ways of which we’d bicker being
Mother’s
Ugly little creatures.
Embrace me,
May we marry odds and evens.

If we’re to ever come to reason.
So gently,
May you smother me
And we can share each other’s breathing,

But Many Arms,
How we’re still at odds,
Even though we share direction.

Mother’s
Ugly little creatures.
