Sweetness

Candied kisses press the sense
As ships of sugary sail by.
The evening tides as morning rises
To sorbet streamed horizon lines.
Across the cliffs of tangerines,
Where mango fragrant summer breezes,
Steeps of golden honey sieves
In a thousand drips of sweetest dreams.

A pinch of sea salt in the air,
Ocean foams from far off where
Frosted brims of root beer froths,
And sherbet icebergs floating near
The beaches, lined in peach and limes,
Where lemon fronds and palm trees climb
Up high into the milky skies
In a swirl of sweetest lullabies.
