Let It Be
Let the reassurance in your eyes
calm the storms in mine
as your consistency breaks down my walls
your persistence stripping me
of my vulnerabilities
until my raw, defenseless frame is exposed
for only you to see
then pull me into you with your steady arms
assuring me I’m safe from harm
Let my head find its home
upon your sturdy chest
where rhythmic melodies of your heart beat
put my worries to rest
Run your strong hands down my spine
letting the shivers from your tender touch
chase away my fears
and watch my angels and demons
subsequently emerge
Let your breath on my neck
warm the chills wrought by
darkness from within
kissing away the pains of the past
of dreams that were never meant to last
paving a path for new beginnings
and lasting destinies to have a chance
Caress me with your fondness and spartan passion
putting my skittish heart at ease
With your fingers twisted in my hair
whisper confessions of your sins to me
and I’ll bare my soul to you...
Then push me against the wall and let your soul make love to mine
And I’ll remind you
why all things divine
must arrive on their own time
calm the storms in mine
as your consistency breaks down my walls
your persistence stripping me
of my vulnerabilities
until my raw, defenseless frame is exposed
for only you to see
then pull me into you with your steady arms
assuring me I’m safe from harm
Let my head find its home
upon your sturdy chest
where rhythmic melodies of your heart beat
put my worries to rest
Run your strong hands down my spine
letting the shivers from your tender touch
chase away my fears
and watch my angels and demons

Let your breath on my neck
warm the chills wrought by
darkness from within
kissing away the pains of the past
of dreams that were never meant to last
paving a path for new beginnings
and lasting destinies to have a chance
Caress me with your fondness and spartan passion
putting my skittish heart at ease
With your fingers twisted in my hair
