the thing about vikings is...
The thing about vikings is you never know what you're going to get.
One minute- total sweetheart.
Next- its all...pillage plunder and rape.
You never know if they are genuine...
One can only hope that they'll take you back to their castle and you'll
live together forever eating spit-roasted veal and drinking malt beer.
But at the same time...you dont know if thats the life you want.
At any moment he could be shipped out to sea, and you'd be alone.
Not only would you have no one to hold you-
but you could never be assured that he's not going throw you out
to the dogs like yesterday's lamb bones as soon as the next
slightly attractive maiden enters his life.
There is also the thought that he may only
want you for your fortune (however miniscule it may be)[/font].
You can never trust a norseman.
[/font]But still, you wait. Hoping to get word of his intentions. Grasping to the possibility that he is thinking of you while he is stealing the lives of the innocent.[/font]

Strange style of narrative employed here, I liked it a lot. Starting with "The thing about vikings is..." gives me the sense that the author is writing with first hand experience of these mischevious vikings, writings perhaps whilst settled in a castle in Scandinavia, offering advice as to what those randy Norsemen's true intentions were.
