THE QUEST PT.III
Justice without compassion
is what has determined each and every action,
covering her heart like a shield
against the invasion of emotions
she does want to feel.
She has a single mission,
to complete the quest
with which she was entrusted.
Upon arriving to the lands
that long ago she had abandoned
it revived the reason that
motivated such drastic action.
This place left its’ brand on her soul
and changed it for ever;
for no matter how far you run
from your past, a time will come
when you will have to confront
what you left when you turn your back.
Resigning herself to that fact
she continues without stopping,
the time has come to put to rest the tragic events
of her past here and now, in the present.
At the edge of the forest
she observes the changing of the guard
and awaits an opportune time to make her entrance.
Silent as a ghost she enters the castle
that has harbored and protected her enemy
from his well deserved punishment.
On this night justice will finally
make things right once and for all;
failure is not an option, it is all or nothing,
today will mark the end of life long heartache.
Traversing the hallways she reaches the rooms of her pray,
the author of so much suffering;
feared for his bloodthirsty ways,
she is the answer to all his victims’ prayers.
She comes close to his massive canopied bed,
the villain hidden by its fabric;
hardening herself, she will see this task to its end.
Through a small opening observes he sleeps
and good fortune smiles, he is alone.
Slowly unsheathes a short sword,
slows down her breathing
so he does no hear the approach.
Lightening fast she grabs hands full
of his greasy hair sword to his throat.
He opens his eyes to see,
who dares threaten him with such audacity!
She comes close and whispers in his ear,
“If you so much as utter
one syllable I will cut your throat instantly”.
From the bed she roughly
forces him to rise and interrogates him.
“Where is the Grimoire of light?”
I have been sent to reclaim it,
without it I shall not leave this alcove.
He indicates the direction with his digit
into the adjacent room and guides her
to his sanctuary of illicit black magic.
Once inside she trusses him up
hands and feet, like a pig to slaughter;
he observes her with malevolence
thinking how this insolent woman dares all this!
She walks over to the alter,
wraps the Grimoire in leather a places it
carefully in her sack to return it to its rightful place.
Now she turns around and, for the first time,
she removes her helmet revealing her face
enabling him to see who it is that threatens him so brazenly.
He tries to remember and then relives the day
this woman in her wedding whites
became the victim of his lustful ill-use.
He with a wicked grin cruelly says
“I remember you, oh how your sweet flesh
made my blood boil and my loins quiver
with expectancy, piercing your cunny
while you’re weeping husband watched!”
“Ohhh I remember youuu.” He purred.
She observed him without and ounce of visible emotion,
that perplexed him. Do not waste your time,
ire is just one more passion I no longer feel,
the day you murdered my beloved
along with him, died my heart.
He then closed his eyes accepting the finality of it all,
knowing in his heart this executioner was created
especially for crimes he committed with such appalling gall.
The vile acts and legacy of his tyranny
had forged this creature standing before him,
living yet dead. Raising her sword high she says
“Nimuea is what I am called;
it will be your last whisper as it
accompanies your soul on its path to hell,
the devil awaits your arrival!”
With one fell swoop she detached this tyrant’s head,
as she watched the head roll across the floor
one single tear did she shed, now her beloveds’ spirit
could rest easy in it’s gravely bed.
She picks up the head of this despicable beast
and places it in another sack,
from this place as she silently retreats
making her escape she contemplates finally
the end of her quest is within reach…
