I am
More than the sum
Of my autistic traits
They over shadow the reality
Served my country in the armed forces
Currently work for National Health Service
If I had been diagnosed in early life
Would never have done anything
The title is stigma enough
For the shutters to come down
Discrimination is rife
As black lives matter so do autistic lives

Prejudice comes in many forms. Putting a label on a person is an act of limitation. The only permissible label: human.

This is an amazing poetic spell, and your modest is breathtaking in the words you utilized to make one understand the mentalis of the poet in a more profound fashion, very encouraging my handsome moonbeam

i often wonder what my life would have been like had i been correctly diagnosed when i was small.
i DID have to see a Child Psychologist from age 7 thru 10 but i always felt it was a waste of time.

i just don't see it or i forget.
