Luctus Aeternus ( A collab with NewBeginnings)
No one wants to die
But who really wants to live forever?
In theory, it seems nice
But in reality, is it any better?
Living without an ending...
Like a play without a final scene
A bleeding heart, never mending
In a neverending dream.
When everyone you ever loved
Begins to die before your eyes
You'll cry out to the skies above
And wish for your demise
A lone and forgotten life,
But a faded memory on the page
Where dreary days blend into nights
And every color bleeds the same.
As you stand upon a sea of graves,
As far as the naked eye can see;
With nothing living left to save
Mere remnants of our society
But who really wants to live forever?
In theory, it seems nice
But in reality, is it any better?
Living without an ending...
Like a play without a final scene
A bleeding heart, never mending
In a neverending dream.
When everyone you ever loved
Begins to die before your eyes
You'll cry out to the skies above
And wish for your demise
A lone and forgotten life,
But a faded memory on the page
Where dreary days blend into nights
And every color bleeds the same.
As you stand upon a sea of graves,
As far as the naked eye can see;
With nothing living left to save
Mere remnants of our society
