Not in class
Hidden behind the stairs
Alone
By myself
Away from the monsters
this recess of tile
and cement,
this spot--
This is my safe haven.
The monsters won't
get me here.
I am safe--
I am alone--
I am hidden--
Not in class
Behind a stairwell
Alone
Away from the monsters
By myself
I am the bad kid--
I am the rebel--
Failure--
No one--
Skipper.

fun! whats with the --? single word on single line signifies a pause. those bars just dilude the contrsat of black on white. like the words and flow!
