A poem for my Dad and A year has passed

A POEM FOR MY DAD
By R Summers

Heaven has an Angel, they've taken in our Dad. There's one more star to see at night, that just leaves us sad.

No more stories shall he tell of mad and crazy things. Gone will be his laughter and the happiness it brings.

No more sitting by the waters edge waiting for a bite, you swapped you're Rod forg Angels wings ans now you've taken flight.

You taught us so many things, we think of you and cry, but you never told us what to do, once you said goodbye.

A Father, Granddad, Legend some names that you have had, but we will love you always. Simply known as Dad.

REST IN PEACE DAD

A year has gone

The moment that you left us our time in pain began, every second, every hour, the sands of time still ran.

It has been a year today, since our last goodbye, I try to hold off my floods of tears, I fail each time I try.

Missing you everyday, my mind clings to happy things, Fishing, laughing, singing and stories and the happiness it brings.

We struggle with the hurt and pain, each and everyday, I miss you and love you, what more can I say.

Dad you are a legend and no matter that we are apart, for I carry you with me always, safetly stored inside my heart.

So even though you've been gone a year, and next it will be Two, you will never really be gone, because I so love you.

So rest in my mother's arms, with Tina by your side, One day I hope we'll meet again, with arms so opened wide.

Xxxxx

Miss you so much xx
