My heart has wings

Even though I'm paralyzed, though I wont walk no more, your love has given my heart wings and now my love I soar

Even in my darkest days, though we are miles apart, a word or a picture from you, brings Sunshine to my heart.

Knowing that you're always there, no matter where we go, your love helps me fly the skies, you give me strength to grow

I thought my life was over, so many tears I've shed, facing my demons on my own, I've wished that I was dead

But you are there to pick me up, you make me feel a man, you've given me the encouragement to believe I really can

I can be anything my wheelchair doesn't define who I am, it's just away to get around, to do the best I can

You have given my heart wings, you stand me straight and tall, I feel like I wont hit the ground, you'll never let me fall

You lift me through the darkest clouds, when I'm beat and done, your love and smiles revives me, you warm me like the Sun

I soar high above my chair, I can see me sitting there, I maybe paralyzed but I'm not really there

I'm high on the thermals of love, gliding through the sky, its because I have you in my life, you are the reason why

So thank you for my hearts wings, you give me back my life, you've shown me some happiness in my world of strife.

So look up into the sky, you will see the Sun, I'm here looking down on you, you truly are the one.
