Batting Practice

Baseball is the "perfect game".
        (though imperfect as we are).

What I wouldn't give to
be in the left-handed batter's box,
with a 33 ounce Louisville Slugger ash-tree gem,
Belting line drives into the outfield (again).

There's no feeling like the feel of bat
colliding with (an "official") ball
at the "sweet spot"
of that bat.    Thwack!

~ A base hit into right-center field.~
