Life without pain

Life without pain;
Would it be like a genius without a brain?
Then again would we be truly alive?
To be put thru hell, only to survive. 

Why must their be so many troubles everyday?
Why wait for tomorrow; just another day of decay. 
We all have a mask of a smiley face;
Welcoming a friendly person just incase. 

To have an option  no grief or regrets;
To have them disappear as the sunsets. 
To wake with a warm heart and soul
To be what we want without someone's control

To welcome love as something we need;
Instead of someone taking it because of greed.
To look forward to the next gentle touch;
I would like to think we do not ask for much. 

No sadness or the things that make us cry;
Not to wish everyday that we would die. 
Never to be an addict to make an escape;
To have no more abuse or no more rape. 

Not to hide behind all of what we fear;
To hear "I love You", and truly be sincere. 
To never be left all alone when needed most;
Nevermore to be in the darkness and see our ghost. 

Life without pain;
Just to speak of it sounds insane. 
This is life as we know it oh so well;
To most of us it's a living hell. 

Never again would we ever be let down;
Just to be walked upon on the ground. 
Perhaps no more nights of fright;
To have someone there to tell you,"it's alright!".

To be in the ground six feet deep;
To have life without pain;
Is to have hope without a gain.
