THE QUEST PT.1
In the silence of the night
rides a solitary armored warrior, directionless.
Instinct dictates to continue without pause;
not understanding the motive,
the exhaustion already
can be felt in the marrow,
but the strange pull that
the knight feels is unyielding.
The night feels laden with the
magic that permeates within her.
The knight feels the swaying influence
that only a *magai of great power can create,
although the purpose is yet to be seen.
The horse protests, nervous it perceives
that all is not as it should be;
the rider tries to calm it down
whispering "ohh be easy friend,"
and continue on their course.
Upon arriving at a clearing in a forest
of majestic ancient oak trees and junipers,
the force of the magic whips the knight without mercy,
but as of yet the author of the magical works is not revealed.
At the center of the grove the rider waits in silence,
suddenly with the force of a nova, a solitary druid appears;
his face covered with a hood, hiding thus his factions.
"I bid ye dismount, great warrior!"
orders a graven voice of death,
that will not brook any negation on his part.
Without defense before such a powerful order,
the knight dismounts carefully.
"Warrior, I have called upon the night
that before me cometh the most brave
and ferocious warrior that these lands have ever forged!"
"Reveal thyself; so I may look upon the countenance
of he who will champion my cause!"
The rider slowly removes the helmet;
the druid is astonished, before his sight,a woman.
"I cannot question the powers
that have brought ye before me,
because they are infallible,
but even thus what surprises is that ye be woman."
Bending at the waist in reverent salutation,
she says:"master,thou hast summoned me
from a very distant lands and brought me here,
how may I serve you?;"taking in the measure
of this female warrior, the druid answers:
"I require thee to recover The Grimoire of Light,
fore it has fallen in to the hands of a despot."
"Thou should bring it before mine eyes the night of Samhién."
"As it shall be, master magai.What of the tyrant,
what is to be his sentence?
"The sentence is death, for the temerity of the theft
of the Grimoire, and unmitigated gall of
having reinstated the *Jus primae noctis."
The warrior bows in reverence and turns to mount her horse;
the druid stops her, "What are ye called?"
"Master, I am called Nimuea." She, in silence, remounts
and directs herself toward the forest
listening to the druid as he bellows,
in that voice that makes the land quake,
"Nimuea, if thee is successful,
Ye shall be revered for time immemorial
as the legendary warrior that aided humanity;
may the powers of the *Illuminati Veritas accompany you!"
