Stalkers
Happiness is skeletal
as I walk the nightmare
awake and in the crunch of cold
gasping for , some air ,
I hear a whine , a painful tone
of dying , unfair ,
although alone , I hear that groan
like death is everywhere .
I drag my limbs , aimlessly
in languid , frozen despair ,
I watch the stabbing , vicious trees
spike their clawed , sentry of aware ,
gathering in silent , shadowed , debri
enveloping to ensnare ,
I feel like their chasing me
I'm now really , quite scared .
as I walk the nightmare
awake and in the crunch of cold
gasping for , some air ,
I hear a whine , a painful tone
of dying , unfair ,
although alone , I hear that groan
like death is everywhere .
I drag my limbs , aimlessly
in languid , frozen despair ,
I watch the stabbing , vicious trees
spike their clawed , sentry of aware ,
gathering in silent , shadowed , debri
enveloping to ensnare ,
I feel like their chasing me
I'm now really , quite scared .
