O have times changed

The times changed, o have times changed.
From fire hydrant pools playing stick ball behind the school. O have times changed.

Outside having a ball 'til street lights came on. Banana seats cards in the spokes. Blind to the hustlers gangs going to war.
O have times changed.

Summer fun snow cone man slowly coming along. (We were too poor for the icecream truck) innocent until our innocence was lost. O have times changed.

Middle school came around, gangs checking whos down. Second week of school I had a flag in my Jean's proud to be a king. O have times changed.

Two years later too cool to go to school.
(O how I regret that) days spent in the kitchen cooking up crack. Only if I could have my innocence back. O have times changed.
