Butterfly’s Dream

I used to know a green eyed girl
Extraordinary like a muffin so sweet
She could rock my small town world
Her smile and touch could take me there
To a place by the river I never been before
The Alabama sun through the Georgia pines
Memories lost in the essence of magical times

I wish I could go back, just for a day
To feel her passion burn within my soul
She’ll take my wings as we fly away
Beyond the rainbow of a forgotten storm
Lost inside the beauty of a garden
Like the sunshine of your love covered in cream
Only to come to a butterfly’s dream
