There is not a day that I don't think of you....
There is not a day that I don’t think of you.
Although you’re no longer with me,
Your smile and your words from that summer evening
Still remain with me.
My memories of you are vital to my existence,
Without them I cannot express myself,
Function or even live;
Vital to me as the air we breathe,
Which allows every creature on earth to live and
Express itself beautifully in its own unique way.
From a distance I whisper words that
Once captivated your heart,
In hope they’ll someday reach you.
As I foolishly count on the wind,
blowing towards the north
To deliver my words
Along with the remaining rose petals
(from a rose which I never gave to you),
In hope,
To once again capture your heart,
As I once did that one summer evening.
Although you’re no longer with me,
Your smile and your words from that summer evening
Still remain with me.
My memories of you are vital to my existence,
Without them I cannot express myself,
Function or even live;
Vital to me as the air we breathe,
Which allows every creature on earth to live and
Express itself beautifully in its own unique way.
From a distance I whisper words that
Once captivated your heart,
In hope they’ll someday reach you.
As I foolishly count on the wind,
blowing towards the north
To deliver my words
Along with the remaining rose petals
(from a rose which I never gave to you),
In hope,
To once again capture your heart,
As I once did that one summer evening.
