Confined Inside Her Mind
The sands of time weighed heavily on her mind
She exposed her black rose but still felt confined
Desiring to find escape routes damaged her petals
Affecting her psyche, nightly, in ways detrimental
Mental health took a trip and dipped into the dark abyss
Smoking spliffs with spirit sips became harder to resist
She developed a habit and had to partake of it everyday
A gateway to stronger things that eventually took her away

This is very enlightening as much as it is touching to the depth of the heart and soul that scene you describe I know all to well myself lost alot of friends and family to that old black magic that white horse it's sad so many choose that life line of death respect brother poet

Life is full of vices and devices many peruse in order to get through
Some that we choose are bad to consume and lead to early tombs

Yeah I know what you mean there are other ways to get high instead taking something that one knows will send them to an early grave saw to much of it back in the days respect brother poet

Such a prolific write my poet, So many souls who have sold their soul for that all time high, thinking they will overcome their form of addiction, in essence, their mind does not compute to the chemical equation of any drug in any compacity is a neurological crasher of alternating their state of realty, giving them a false sense of euphoria , and that is high that comes with the low most people seek
Therefore, many drug users adopt the misconception, oh, I can handle this, yet trying to chase that first hit, only to realize the more times they chase, the farther that feeling tends to run, getting them addicted. Not saying this will apply to everyone, there are some in society who do recover, and maybe relapse once, whereas, some will succumb to the unfulfilled quest of that high until their last breath is surrendered. Such a tragedy in the end for all concerned.
