The Song of The Tree (String of Haiku)
I am nature's child
The Creator's handiwork
For mankind to use
Older than first man
I inhabited the earth
Since the birth of time
Every place on earth
Is my sanctuary my home
For generations
Rivers and mountains
Are my brothers and sisters
Earth is our mother
We are connected
In this complex web of life
Like a family
I live to support
The mountains hills and valley
On rainy seasons
I stop erosions
During floods and heavy rains
With my sturdy roots
The rivers feed me
I drink from their wide vessels
To nourish my growth
I am home to birds
I provide shelter and shade
To other creatures
I stand patiently
In my humble submission
To the elements
The sun burn my leaves
On hottest days of summer
They fall to the ground
The wind beat my trunk
Shake my branches till they break
On stormy weather
Heaven punish me
By drowning me in her tears
On wet rainy days
Man uses my body
For their benefits and needs
Yet they give no thanks
I do not complain
I was created to serve
God's creation big and small
I bow to the earth
For nourishing my hard life
In adversity
This is my purpose
To live life in selflessness
As the giving tree
The Creator's handiwork
For mankind to use
Older than first man
I inhabited the earth
Since the birth of time
Every place on earth
Is my sanctuary my home
For generations
Rivers and mountains
Are my brothers and sisters
Earth is our mother
We are connected
In this complex web of life
Like a family
I live to support
The mountains hills and valley
On rainy seasons

During floods and heavy rains
With my sturdy roots

I drink from their wide vessels
To nourish my growth
I am home to birds
I provide shelter and shade
To other creatures
I stand patiently
In my humble submission
To the elements
