Do Blondes Taunt?
(sonnet)
Perhaps it is the glisten of their hair,
That sounds the deepest yearnings of their flaunt.
Or other glistenings when it’s not there,
Now puzzling, I wonder, do blondes taunt?
I us’ally find other hues more fair.
The reds and browns and auburns seem to haunt,
When with their truest colors I’m aware,
They choose to change that color ‘do blondes’ taunt.
I did once chase and find my true despair,
Though satisfied my questioning avaunt,
Was thick and black as crows that met my stare,
My distrust brought to bare, how do blondes taunt.
When shocking find that dark hairdo blonde's taunt,
I'd much prefer that nature gild the font!
