John Smith's Point
The convenience of yesterday,
this available ease
that gifted him
an irresistible charm of coolness,
had long vanished in the thin air.
He kicked and screamed;
he cussed and cursed;
he cried "foul" and demanded
its immediate and unconditional return;
its reappearance, one way or another...
John Smith
had reached a point;
had reached the point of no return
as he was, earnestly, predicting
his imminent return...
