ALTITUDE OF MIND
Drifting like a cloud
across the sky,
aware that down below
the shadows fall,
blown away to reveal
a clearer view.
Floating like a leaf
through the breeze,
disconnected, free
from the rustling,
settling on sandy soil
to decompose.
Standing like the tallest
tree, deeply rooted
reaching to the sky,
spreading out from
a solid trunk,
growing.

I just finished writing a rhyme , jumped online and Synchronicity lead me to read your poem I believe .
“I can touch the sky from where sit,
looking down I see the ground meet my feet ,
feel the grass tickle my toes”.
