This isn't common knowledge ( among teenagers and adults, as he said )? I don't think the concern was about fevers; I think the concern was when the fever gets too high they become dangerous, i.e. - 104+, and thus need to be addressed. Also, even low grade fevers persisting for a week or so need to be addressed to determine the underlying cause.

Personally I don't believe in measuring temperature
but monitoring other factors
like hydration
distractions
allowing the body to
cut back on food
when appetite wanes
All the advice i see includes
reducing fever!

I never really worried until a fever reached 103. I would monitor closely when it hit 102. Of course rest & liquids are important, and the old adage "Feed a cold, starve a fever".

I think this was inspired by the discussion in the Covid-19 thread, wasn't it? I don't think anyone there was disputing the purpose of a fever; I garnered that they were concerned you meant to take no measures despite how high a fever became. I wanted to interject that you both probably agreed with one another but weren't clarifying your sides to include that common ground; however, I was kinda busy with other things. lol

Actually, i just want to bring attention to the question .
I'm concerned at times that I haven't done enough. So I compiled this vid from a really long good thing...
We can save lives, I believe, by steering people away from fever phobias.
....This second I can't remember how it came up. Again! But the minute i saw the video i wanted to disseminate a promotion of the info.
