Image for the poem Nescius (Nice For What)

Nescius (Nice For What)

Its etymology defines it as foolishly ignorant
Later it evolved into faint-hearted or timid
Painting a vivid picture of so many things
Now Nice For What is the song I'm rapping

Its trappings may make you clumsy and weak
Or make you look stupid like an inverted beak
Have I peaked your interest about what it is?
It's something we're told to be as little kids

It's meanings hid from us like Gov't secrets
Such as fussy, fastidious, dainty and delicate
Now a predicate cut to be precise and careful
Emerging from the gutter to be kind & thoughtful
