Going Everywhere
1.
In the museum, square
short, you move slowly
from painting to painting.
2.

in an almost rapidly
eating gesture, like
a huge bag of popcorn.
3.

amazement with laughter,
like the poster-smiler
who sits down and waits.
4.
You have memorized the
moment, almost like you
know when to stop. I
need to stop, too, because
you may even pick up something
handy, like a page of note paper.
5.
And then suddenly surprisingly I
find you again smiling with your
knee sore and glaring into the bright.
