My local radio station used to do April Fool spoof programmes or carry April Fool stories from elsewhere in the news but today it is abstaining from April Fool joking because of the pandemic.

I think we shouldn't let the terrorists chill us or slow our spending. We need to carry on for the children.
Pouting is one way to handle it... but when I feel like a victim, i prefer laughing over crying. We are all hurting.

Our radio station did broadcast stories of two April Fool spoof programmes done by our BBC 40 or more years ago notably the 'spaghetti harvest in Switzerland' story by Richard Dimbleby in the 50s which would only have been rumbled by people who know spaghetti is a pasta not grown on trees! (At time, spaghetti was a relative luxury, imported to UK.)

Our local news used to run April Fool's stories, Jess. I remember one year they put marshmallows in a tree and acted like they were doing news on this year's marshmallow harvest! You would not BELIEVE the people asking if marshmallows really grew on trees! LOL!
