Forced

It's too cold to come out
    from under the covers
          &
I'm too lonely to let go
of intimate lovers
So can I convince you
to dream a little longer
Just for a moment;
Until I feel a little stronger

CHORUS:
      It's all right there
I have to let it out
Got to let go
of the reasonable doubt
If I want to hold on
to what I'm about
   I've got to let go
& find another rout

        Chasing illusions
thru the thickest of haze
Barely able to loose
    myself in this maze
Exhausted from dreaming
I'm loosing composure
on the verge of a melt-down
      from over exposure

The terror at home
makes it safe for deception
     to blanket the truth
& block your reception
Midway through the madness
          I see a conclusion
   which ends with an era
that thrives on confusion

So, you came by
to complete
our disconnection
Filling my seat
with your misplaced
        affection
  Now
your wondering away
In a trail of smoke
Leaving me speechless
because
You don't want to choke

        You're in my way
Can't you see where I'm going
          I'm headed for disaster
             without ever knowing
I can't get in the back door
so share some of your ink
so I can sneak in a statement
          that might make you think...
