Remember me
as someone who forgot to breathe
when the water rose past my knees
remember the way I froze
at your touch
in need of comfort
when you pushed too much
now I keep a sentinel watch
my body the tower
that I will not let crumble
not over trivial things like love and such
there are more important things to guard than one's heart.
