Virus

A couple months ago I heard about a guy with a case of Corona.
I'm in Atlanta, at the time elections were jumpin while the #MeToo movement was straight trumpin.
Ain't it something, I would have swore Australia was just burning.
Learning that the virus was a threat and not some beer I ait up news on the topic since Mid-January.
I wonder if China stayed  on top of running obituaries.
It's scary how at first Corona was a whole lot of something over there in Wohan.
Then the virus donned on our allies and now has invaded our lives.
But does this feel like occupation or nuisance?
The truth is I've quarantined myself.
Dropped back to a five mile radius.
I could do better on distancing but others think I'm weird on prevention B.
About a week into quarantine I got a box of Nitrile gloves then comboed that with bandana I felt like Black Constantine.
Folks were lookin at me like I had Gangrene.
Flash forward to today,  I see gloves and face masks all day.
The system is in disarray while they jumble up communique.
This virus is no play play, it's taking people away.
Ok.
Now we look at today, but there's not much to say.
I pray we all stay safe, and our communities become stronger.
No longer can we devalue the individuals who cook our food, and ring us up, and keep us safe, and teach our kids...
Wait, Wait, Wait.
Did any notice that our POTUS noted the virus will be gone by Easter while other bandleaders are protecting their people?
What matters more, a dollar or a heart.
One band one sound.
Do we all lock down for the sake of a sound body of nation?
Or do we squeeze dollars from our economy to keep other business men wealthy?
Brothers and sisters please help me to keep the elderly healthy.
