THE INVISIBLE SONG
Where have all
the pages gone
of endless silence
invisible song?
Down in the depths
of the deepest whole
lives an introverted
marsupial mole.
He ate the pages
when he was bored
the silence and song
he happily explored
until he found he had
something vital to say,
with courage he scampered
to the surface one day
shouting to the world
in his loudest voice,
“THE MOST IMPORTANT
THING IS CHOICE! ”

Thanks Pete, this was the beginning of a series of poems that I'm still working with, the Invisible Song has found it's way into quite a few other poems now.

So well written and such a clean format to read the message. This is a wonderful reminder that we do all have the power of choice. For some of us fear prevents us from taking steps and for others fearlessness propels us ahead. While choices have consequences inactions also have consequences. Terrific write. H🌷

Thanks Honoria, the first thing that came from the Invisible Song was CHOICE this series began with the idea of using native Australian animals to discuss important concepts, the next poem has an Echidna and Wombat discussing why choice is so important.
