TALK TO THE DEAD

She sat in the silence
of soundless sound,
which can only be
found deep underground.

She waited to hear
the Invisible Song,
needing it to make her
strong, it didn't take long.

She felt it first
on top of her head,
remembering what her mother
said, “talk to the dead”

She started to sing
in a voice quite low,
whispering words, symbolically
slow, “did you know?”

She stopped and listened
for an echo to return,
watching the flickering candle
burn, “there are things to learn” .
