Life always seems to take a funny turn,
You can feel low sometimes and your spirit burns.
Seems for an eternity there's no way out,
All you can do is despair and scream and shout.
You feel so down and utterly alone,
Just wishing that someone would call your phone.
That feeling of loneliness is so depressing,
Whatever you do, you can't help but stressing.
But when you feel like that and just want to weep,
Look inside yourself and find the inner strength you keep.
Because there will be someone to help you,
A friend to be there even just for a brew.
Someone to guide you through the hell that you feel,
Even though you aren't on an even keel.
For everyone in this world is capable of love,
Even if it's as simple as someone asking "How are you bruv?".
Reach deep inside and find a feeling of peace,
Try to rid yourself of this self hating beast.
There's so many things in this life you can do,
Even if you doubt yourself, try to believe that it's true.
Look towards people you love like family,
Know that you're not just a "you", you're a "we".
Aim to be someone that lives not just survives,
Be optimistic and you'll truly thrive.
Sing your own song, dance to your own rhythm,
Because only you can help yourself, that's a given.
