Datura Falls From Your Mouth

Everything in me danced
on petals
.
Until, one day

Chains and lanyards,  around
my ankles you extend fingertips
with hooks,  grabbing the words
 that spill from an opened
 mouth.

Drag me under water,  submerge
me in contagious  irony fueled
by kerosene sticks ignited, then
 swept up.

Letters
 of I love you
 we called ours, aflame behind
your nonexistent eyes.

Your demons flood in,  fighting
 for me, waving their fallicies
in the air.

My arteries become thick,
hallucinations bloat my mind
Visions of asphalt spew
from your mouth,  turning
Into datura

Cries, circling this room without
walls,  a broken mosaic screams ultimatums,  as I withdraw the
bridge,  watching you become
weak

Snow begins to fall,  as you
and your demons vanish
your flames gone,  as crocus
shows through shattered
ground
