hideaway
we've been hiding here for days
it's looking like we won't return
to the place we used to call home
i think we've begun to believe
we can live from the earth
and help one another survive
just by loving.
this is all we've ever wanted
and we needn't run any longer
all that's left for us there
is the shame of what they've done
and how they succumbed
to what we refused to become.
so put the transparent key
in the invisible lock, turn and click.
now swallow it, love
we won't be needing it again
come lay here with me
share this sky, this earth, this moment
let's live every day anew
and savour every experience.
for we shall only meet our demise
when you can no longer hide with me.
it's looking like we won't return
to the place we used to call home
i think we've begun to believe
we can live from the earth
and help one another survive
just by loving.
this is all we've ever wanted
and we needn't run any longer
all that's left for us there
is the shame of what they've done
and how they succumbed
to what we refused to become.
so put the transparent key
in the invisible lock, turn and click.
now swallow it, love
we won't be needing it again
come lay here with me

let's live every day anew
and savour every experience.

when you can no longer hide with me.
