Amongst The Amber: A Restorative Connection

A soft wind blew
through my hair
as I came to a stop
And met her stare

I set myself down
amidst the amber
and wound a sheath around my fingers
a makeshift anchor

Tied willfully to the people
That connection my savior
I'm at home in this world
and duty-bound to help save her
