human kind - be both
There was another suicide
Gossip flew the other day
Heartaches created by pride
Lives are shattered this way
In a moment of desperation
Thoughts at last are selfish
Anguish turned to devastation
Leaving others to wish
They had or had not said
What could they have done?
Different now one is dead
Guilt falls down on one
The struggle to live
A new life begins
Learning to forgive
Only the blameless wins
Many people want to die
Or do not care if they do
The flesh is weak it will lie
The spirit calls to you
Trust will take a long time
Listen quietly to the still small voice
Then begin the awesome climb
From darkness to light we have a choice

My first husband took his own life, . I found him. PTSD now. Valentines was especially trying this year. Another man in my tiny town shot himself in front of his wife. Rock Springs,Agua Fria National Monument Black Canyon City AZ

nicely composed for we all have a choice to make whether we chose to live or die but the most highest spiritual soul has the last call not me nor you, i know its a struggle for some as i know first hand the thought of the unknown is scary, for i have Prostate Cancer that is aggressive in 2019 plus had a spinal infusion in 2002 left me unable to walk for 3 years had no movement from the waist down, then a heart attack in 2013 gave me one stent implant and i have PTSD myself from the service but i never though about taking my own life after all i have been and gone through, sure life gets rough and hard at times i am a witness i just thank the spirit up above to be able to walk again and still have life now...respect poetess

Thank you Stoney 223. Those 223's ,I used them at a time thought I was tough. I prefer a bb or pellet for targets now.
