Atlas

Atlas the earth bearer
You hold us high
Never letting us fall
Supporting a world must be hard
I know that I struggle to support myself

Atlas the earth bearer would you like to take a break
I'l hold the world on my shoulders if you take
the weight that I bear
You could give it away
For all I care

Atlas the earth bearer I surrender to you
Shake me off and put me out into
The great sky full of dark and stars
My load is too heavy
My shoulders bear scars

Atlas the earth bearer I feel sad for you
It must be so boring to hold up the great green and blue
I'll take the load off your shoulders upon mine
You take the life that I suffer
And I will keep the earth in it's tilted line

This is my own work, do not use it as yours. I wrote this because, well, this life sometimes feels heavier than the earth that Atlas holds for us.
