The Reasons

You ask me reasons why I want to be around.
You won't believe how crazy this is going to sound.
You awaken feelings in me that I haven't felt in a while.
You ask me questions that make me feel like I'm on trial.

You tell me things that I don't even know about myself.
You know before I do all of the things that I have felt.
You argue with me and push my brain.
You make me feel like I might be sane.

You boost my self-esteem.
You push me to chase dreams.
You make me feel like my heart is some amazing feat.
You treat me like I'm someone no one else could beat.

You make me feel like you're someone I could save.
Someone that I could push in your brain to behave.
I like that you're just like me.
Little things are what we see.

You make me feel like I'm actually wanted.
When you are around me I feel comforted.
All of my negative feelings have gone away.
Too bad we've decided we're not here to stay.
