Oh Liffey

Oh Liffey, Oh Liffey
Do you remember the long gone?
Do their reflections still burn
in the waters that bombed?
Or did they just sail away
Just happy to move on?
Remember the fallen
Because the Liffey rolls on

Do  the drums hard  beat
red ripple your shores?
Does the parade remind you
Of the damage before?
Steady and ready
You helped them to shores
Oh Liffey Oh Liffey
Roll on don't roll here no more

The salt from your wind
Breathes sin as you blow
Did they see it coming
Down at the G.P.O.?
The survivors would fall
With no mercy to know
Long gone not forgotten
In the Liffey they  flow
