Thank you for replying. There is always distrations from deeper truths. But we fight in our way with poetry.

Nice write Phantom, and welcome to DUP. I guess there's a difference between "the truth" and "my version of the truth" - but either way it's generally uncomfortable to hear (if not downright painful) - so people tend to avoid it, or as you say sugar-coat it on behalf of others. But at some level what Kaylor above says is right, real truth sets us free from our delusions. The movement called "radical honesty" takes this line too. Best regards, Josh.

These days ppl can't handle the intensity known as truth, hell they can barely cope with a measely lie either. Honestly I feel like you should tell the truth becuz a lie always comes back to haunt you tenfold. Plus, once a lie is started u cant get out of it without being the bad guy. Very valid points in this piece and welcome to DUP, hope u find a home here. Looking forward to more of your work✊🏽✊🏽

Once you lie it is hard to get out it and you end up hurting the ones you love
