Eyes Blind

I have never seen his face
Or heard the sound of his voice
The fantasy of meeting him
Is definitely one I would race.

The urgency to not be alone
To be held, to belong
To whisper to him in the dark
To kiss him, to hear him moan.

This fantasy to get past the grief
To love and to be loved
To fight for a partnership
My heart beats to this belief.

He is so far away but yet so very close
The moments spent waiting for his response
Keep this fantasy from ending
Makes goosebumps with each word, each picture pose.

To desire someone, to fill that void
To need to be needed
Is part of a woman, to nurture, to love
My heart cries for him, to know him and not to lose him or avoid.

This fantasy of mine
To do what it takes, to show him
The woman on the other side of the pen
My heart is open, my eyes are blind.
