Shrapnel from Eden. pt 17

‘wun o’ clock fox-trot, uniform, charlie, Kilo.’
The lost star begins to wail.
Spread your angelic wings,
To a sky where scatterings,
Drop their halos to Apollo
As the whims soon follow.

In the storm lust does sail
Give the colours of fellatio
To nocturnal angels that glow.
Blame that electronic demon
Who raped my silent violin.

Ukushona kwelanga, khala             The sun is setting, Cry
Ngena, uBachus, Ngena                   Come in, Bachus, come
Letha amaphiko wenha                     Bring the wine, You
Ukuphuma kwenyanga, Jabula.        The moon is rising, Rejoice

As Anthony comes, Cleopatra Sighs
Romeo hums, Juliet cries
Faithful flames dance in the pyre
Traitored love waltzes on the fire
‘Yankee, oscar, uniform, romeo - - - lima, uniform, victor.’
