Book of Shadows 1

I have considered myself a Wiccan for many years, and I practiced frequently at first. These days, I rarely think about it. I am going to get back into my craft and truly devote myself. I will use this as a temporary Book of Shadows so that I can look back on my thoughts for many years to come. I have been encouraged to communicate with my familiar more. I have known he was mine for a long time, but it was hard to let myself accept the Goddess's advice when I was in a troubled state. I am also going to be working on defining my exact beliefs using this BoS. So far I know that I believe in a God and Goddess, but I also believe that the other gods that come from other religions are manifestations and facets of the God and Goddess. I feel that all living creatures have a soul that outlasts bodily death and that soul travels between hosts when a body dies. The soul does not keep the memories, that is the job of the brain, so it is a new person each time. Souls can connect to each other and find each other after changing hosts. I think that people have a soul mate, but it may not be just one person, when a soul changes bodies, a person's soul mate changes. I see ghosts so obviously that isn't the whole story. I believe that some souls need a break or cannot find a suitable host and so we get ghosts. Maybe this isn't exactly true to Wicca but I feel that is the religion that aligns most with my beliefs. I believe in magic as well as science. The two can be harmonized, and thus we should not need to choose one or the other.
